About the position
This position is a hybrid of inside sales and customer support. You will split time between guiding new Roam customers to the right vehicle and subscription plan for them, and supporting our current customer base via phone, email, chat, forums and social media. You will manage customer questions and problems in a variety of situations along the Roam customer experience with significant autonomy to make our customers happy. We expect your creativity, patience, and empathy to ensure our customers know we care about them.
Your insights on the Roam customer experience will drive future product and marketing decisions, with significant opportunities to work alongside other areas of the business. We will give you as much opportunity and responsibility as you can handle.
You will work closely with Roam’s leadership team to define and deliver an outstanding customer experience and to build the foundation that will take the company to thousands of customers in multiple geographies across North America.

What you’ll be doing
As Roam’s Inside Sales and Customer Support Specialist, we will rely on you to make a meaningful impact for our customers and their experience with Roam by assisting new customers and responding to support requests from current customers in a timely, professional and pleasant manner.
The support you provide our customers will drive product and customer experience innovations for the company moving forward. Because we’re a fast-growing startup and things are constantly evolving, your responsibilities will evolve over time.
In this role, you will:
- Greet customers as they arrive to pickup their vehicle
- Help customers learn about the service and respond to their questions
- Create an amazing customer experience
- Share your passion for helping customers and to and your product knowledge
- Champion customer onboarding and vehicle orientation sessions for new customers
- Make CSI calls to customers to follow up on their experience
- Help current customers extend their subscription plans, improving customer lifetime value
- Improve and collect customer reviews, ensuring that customers are having a great experience, and working to resolve issues when they’re not
- Respond to customers through our support ticketing system
- Escalate issues to Product, Engineering, or Operations teams where necessary
- Document solutions to common problems and update our FAQ, knowledge library, chatbot and phone systems
Experiences, Qualifications & Skills

- Previous retail sales and/or customer support will be a big asset in this role
- The technical skills to setup and integrate sales and support tools will be a big asset in this role
- Strong oral and written communication skills

Salary & Benefits
Salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 per year. Salary will be discussed during the interview process and will be based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant.

Compensation
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
